			<p><em><strong>THE KITS REDUCE UNEVEN, PREMATURE tire WEAR</strong></em>, improve traction and high speed directional directional stability, plus allow ongoing                adjustment for accident damage, curb knocks or race / rally settings.</p>
            <p>By the 1980's, the majority of new car manufacturers had deleted adjustment facilities, other than front toe (but adjusting "toe" however                ONLY ALTERS THE WEAR POSITION and actually increases the overall wear rate.</p>
            <p>This deletion was brought about by cost cutting and the ever increasing speed of vehicle assembly lines allowing insufficient time for adjustment.</p>
          <p><em><strong>K-MAC</strong> - THEREFORE SAW THE NEED</em> and set about to design and manufacture a complete "Bolt On" range of front Camber and Caster & rear Camber and Toe kits to satisfy the demand from sports/competition enthusiasts or simply frustrated consumers with expensive/premature tire wear problems, which were brought about by uneven wear, altered suspension height, carrying extra load, curb knocks, driving on high cambered roads or front/rear wheel squat, with subsequent inner edge tire wear. Above problems were further exacerbated by the advent in the 1980's of "off the shelf" wide, expensive low profile tires, where facilities for adjusting Camber because of the extra width are an essential requirement to maintain even tire wear/traction.</p>

For the past 29 years I have worked as an automotive technician and  suspension specialist in the Automotive Industry. During these years I have  seen many new brands of suspension enter the market and generally their quality  is price driven, customers will get a reasonable quality product at a  reasonable price, these products will offer reasonable performance and in most  cases normally see their warranty period out. Established brands normally offer  customers a similar or better quality option, their suspension systems  generally work better and their range is more comprehensive.  Where there  is little difference, is that they both source most components from overseas  factories, primarily in Asia and in some cases from the same factories as each  other. They are branded their colour, their part number, their packaging and  sold under their own brand. This is normal practice and many reputable  companies operate in this way. </p>
<p align="justify">As  a suspension specialist we have sold these brands for many years and have had  many happy customers and repeat business because of this and will continue to  do so. For the same amount of time we have built tailor made suspension systems  using only the very highest quality components on the market today, and the  results have surpassed these brands in ride quality, performance and  durability.  As a result of this we have designed the SMART SUSPENSION  brand as a “NO COMPROMISE” range of suspension products.   <p align="justify">Our SMART COILS have  been developed because of customer demand, For years our customers have been  concerned about the legalities regarding raising their 4wd above 50mm, and the  same question is always asked:</p>
  <p><strong> <img src="images/br_css2.png" width="250" height="159" align="right" style="margin-left:20px; margin-bottom:10px;" />If I raise my 4wd above 50mm Is it legal?</strong></p>
  <p align="justify">We have been unable to answer that question and have sought legal  advice regarding this, and through our research we were left as confused as our  customers were and with this level of uncertainty we decided to design a coil  that would give a legal ride height of 50mm but offer the same wheel travel of  a 100mm (4”) lift.  We consulted the engineers at King Springs and decided  on a special design coil that offers a smooth ride with medium load carrying  capabilities.</p>
  <p align="justify"> included in the design was a progressive tapered wind that keeps  the coil tightly compressed during normal driving conditions and progressively  opens during articulation, keeping the tyres firmly attached to the ground and  offering the equivalent wheel travel of vehicles with extremely high suspension  lifts.  There are other products required to get the full benefits of the  Climax SMART COILS:</p>
  <ul class="list3">
    <li>First you will require a 4” shock absorber to allow the  coils to flex to their full potential</li>
    <li>Swaybar extensions or even better  swaybar disconnects to relieve swaybar tension during articulation</li>
    <li>2 degree castor bushes for correct steering geometry</li>
    <li>A rear extended brake  proportioning valve bracket for precise braking and in some cases a set of  brake lines</li>
  </ul>
  <p align="justify"> Our SMART COILS are currently available for Nissan GQ and GU  patrol vehicles with petrol and diesel motors, bulbar and medium duty loads in  the rear.</p></div>

  <p>My vote of thanks for the fantastic product: I bought a Tuff Tonneau three years ago and it’s been on my old HQ Ute ever since. I was   impressed in the perfect fit and the fact that no matter what the   weather throws at it, it performs brilliantly. It’s never leaked, it   never moves about and when I load the old Ute up there’s enough flexibility to mould around most things. The old girls sit outside   everyday in a salty and heavily corrosive environment. The Tuff Tonneau   only ever needs a quick scrub and wash to look its best in no time at all. Pity the old Ute doesn’t clean up so easily! Thanks fellas, if I   buy another brand of Ute, I’ll be buying another one, but I’m sure this one will outlast my old HQ.</p>

<p>The Toyota Prado 150 Series has a tow restriction of 2500kgs and ball weight capacity of 250kg due to inadequate factory fitted suspension. We are able to increase the towing capacity to 3000kg and ball weight capacity to 300kg by fitting our Bilstein Smart Suspension System and through comprehensive ADR testing procedures by our unrestricted VSCCS Engineers at our federal test facility (T15250).</p>
<p>As a part of the test procedure we load cell test the factory Toyota tow bar system to the AS4177.1 Standard up to 3000kg tow capacity and supply a re-rated tow capacity plate.</p>
<h3>GCM (Gross Combination Weight) Upgrade from 5490kg To 5990kg (Increase of 500kg):</h3>

<p>The Mitsubishi Pajero December 2006 to current model has a tow restriction for the ball weight of 180kgs when towing up to 3000kgs. This is due to the inadequate factory fitted suspension and affects most dual axle caravan towing applications.</p>
<p>  We are able to increase the ball weight from 180kgs to 300kgs of “down weight” at the higher tow capacity, this is done by increasing the rate of the rear suspension components including the addition of air bags. To achieve this we professionally fit and wheel align the rear suspension using our Smart Suspension System which includes German built high pressure 46mm Bilstein shock absorbers, Australian made Lovells Coil Springs and rear Polyair air bags.</p>
<p>The improvements are outstanding, offering an exceptional ride with superior road holding and load carrying capabilities.</p>
<p>Our in-house RMS/VSCCS Engineers have performed comprehensive relevant ADR and stability testing on this system/vehicle. Each individual vehicle is reference tested for braking and roll stability as part of the testing procedure. We also load cell test the factory tow bar and once completed we supply an engineering certificate and upgraded tow rating plate approved by the RMS. </p>

<p align="justify">Some members of the Port Macquarie & District 4WD Club attended an advanced driving course (DTU) in the Watagans on the last weekend of March 2012.</p>
<p align="justify"> We were very proud of our Ironman 4x4 Gold Patrol as she climbed beautifully over all the steep and very rough hills as you can see from our amazing pictures. The Ironman Patrol came to the rescue and winched out a defender that had a spot of trouble.</p>
<p align="justify"> The Watagans is a very popular 4WDrivers spot to visit as it has many challenging tracks to endure. The boys had a great weekend playing and practicing recovery, driving and safety of course.</p>
<p align="justify"> Darren from Midcoast 4WD Centre/Climax Suspension Port Macquarie had a great time and was very pleased with how well the Patrol handled itself in such rough terrain and can’t wait to get back in there.</p>

 <p>As you said the patrol has been transformed. The system was fitted by Alley's last thursday and I very happy with their service on your recommendation. The Lovell springs are what I was hoping for, comfortable without being soft and they just soak up the bumps with the damping from the Bilsteins matching the springs beautifully. The height  on the wheel arches has increased around 65/70mm on the front and around 85mm on the rear. Very happy with the results.</p>
 <p>Alley's have suggested an adjustable draglink to sort out a couple of issues. Would you please give me a price to supply one to me.</p>
 <p>I have attached a sheet with some pictures so you can see the results.<br />
 Although this is a bit rough  I would be happy if you printed this so you can show others the results on my Patrol.</p>

<p>Just a short note to thank Climax Suspension for the advice and ultimately the supply of a fantastic suspension upgrade for my Dual Cab BT50 GT.</p>
<p>After having driven on several suspension systems on previous vehicles, I was adamant not to repeat mistakes of the past. </p>
<p>The new suspension system needed to cope with a steel bull bar and winch combination on the front, with no load to towing a 6m boat on the rear. I was also looking for about a 40-50mm lift. Oh, there was also the requirement for comfort when the First Lady wanted to take the BT shopping.</p>
<p>Final combination was a Climax Smart Suspension system utilising Bilstein shocks and Lovells springs - medium duty, with a 40mm nominal lift. Installation was professionally completed by Rutherford Motors.</p>
<p>Certainly not the cheapest suspension upgrade about, but for me, the best I have ever ridden.</p>
<p>Happy to provide reference for any prospective buyer wanting a high quality, performance suspension system to complement their vehicle.</p>

 <p>Bilsteins and King springs seem to be a great choice for the Prado 150 series. I tow a Jayco Outback Camper each month or so and the non sagging is a huge benefit!</p>

 <li>I put 12 psi in airbags when towing</li>
 <li>6psi when not</li>
 <li>Car handles like a sports car</li>
 <li>Corners far far better than before</li>
 <li>Much much less body roll</li>
 <li>And firm but surprisingly not jarring or too severe over things like speed humps</li>
 <li>And still great with no load</li>
 </ul>

 <p>Hi Dino, </p>
 <p>The install of the Koni's on my 350Z went fine, took me about 4hrs & I had no problems aside from there not being much space sliding the fronts into place & I had to undo most of the upper control arm to get access.</p>
 <p>Since install, my car is riding a hundred times better than the cheap coil overs. There is a fair bit of body roll which I am getting used to again but the rear is putting down the power much more consistently out of corners & my car is now a pleasure to drive (unlike before!).</p>
 <p>The recommended sway bars will make a huge difference & I will purchase them shortly, it's just a shame the Whiteline sway bars are so expensive & almost AU$700, (compared to what is available in the US, German Eibachs for US$330 for the pair! but close to another US$280 to ship). </p>
 <p>No problems with alignment either with my wheels within OEM spec & therefore no need for expensive camber/toe arms. I will send a picture of the car both before & after, the 35mm drop looks great & fills my wheel arches nicely - just waiting for my 25mm wheel spacers to arrive.</p>

 <p>I am the owner of HZJ78 Troopy referred to you by GT. You may recall I had the SAX suspension fitted before requesting your advice and purchasing a better alternative from you.</p>
 <p>The suspension you supplied worked faultlessly during our trip to WA. 50psi in the troopy tyres, 55psi in the air bags and 55psi in the trailer tyres.</p>

 </strong><strong>ADVENTURE AND MOTORING EXPO</strong></h1>
 <p>On the weekend of 1st to 3rd of August Highfields Climax set up a popular display at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. The 2014 Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo is the regions largest event of it’s kind. Over 130 local and regional companies were involved, displaying thousands of products and services, including the very latest in Caravans, Camper Trailers, Motor Homes, Vehicles and 4WD’s, 5th Wheelers, Camping Gear and Accessories.</p>
 <p>Around 16,000 people attended and kept the guys from Highfields Climax really busy over a fine weekend. Look out for Climax when you go to outdoor shows!</p>

 <h1 align="center">Highfields QLD tighten up a Fairlane with a Premier Bilstein Kit!</h1>
 <p>Great to catch up last weekend! Bilstein transplant done on Wednesday....amazing! Fairlane feels so tight!</p>
 <p>The transformation was amazing going from what I thought was quite a tight ride and responsive steering to what I can describe as something similar to and better than European marques I've owned previously. Thanks to Bilstein and Whiteline through Climax Suspension's Dino!. Lovingly fitted by Craig and the boys at Highfields 4x4 Mechanical.</p>

 <p style="color:#00aeef">Climax Suspension Highfields QLD supplied and fitted a full set of Bilstein monotube struts and shocks, Whiteline bushes and a Whiteline rear swaybar. David is a QLD sales rep and uses his vehicle everyday as a rep in QLD, and racks up a lot of K's in the process.</p>
